Ricardo's continues its Vancouver takeover with new gelato-focused location opening soon

Fans of anything and everything sweet in Metro Vancouver are most likely familiar with Ricardo’s, the name behind B.C.’s largest candy store and multiple ice cream shops found throughout Metro Vancouver. Now, the team is gearing up to open another new location here in downtown Vancouver.
Owner Ricardo Rizaie told Dished that this new location will be a more gelato-focused concept than its other two locations. Though we are assured soft serve will be found at this spot too.
Located at 797 Thurlow St., Vancouver, Ricardo’s will be taking over the former Perverted Ice Cream location, which closed on Oct. 31, 2024.
Counting all of its candy and ice cream shops, this will be Ricardo’s third location in Vancouver and fifth location in Metro Vancouver. It also operates a location in Toronto as well.
This announcement comes less than a month after Ricardo’s opened its flagship location on Granville, which features over 80 flavours of ice cream and gelato.

We visited Ricardo’s new Granville location before it opened and tried its Dunkaroos Rolled Gelato, which we have to say was very good.
Ricardo’s new location is expected to open sometime this summer.
