Its no secret that over the last couple of years, Vancouver has become matcha-obsessed, with many cafes offering and even specializing in the much-loved drink. Now, a new Japanese-inspired cafe has softly opened in the city that is serving matcha, katsu sandwiches, and much more.

Introducing Nīzu Cafe: your latest spot for coffee, matcha, and baked goods.

You’ll find your standard selection of cafe offerings here including espresso, lattes, and of course, matcha and hojicha. But the cafe also offers a selection of specialty drinks on rotation, with current offerings being a miso caramel latte, banana matcha, and craft cola.

On the food side of things, you’ll find small bites like kaarrage, handhelds including tonkatsu and ebi katsu sandos, and Yoshuko-style pastas.

Located at 800 West Pender, Nīzu Cafe has opened steps away from the Vancouver-favourite Slo Coffee’s new location that is expected to open soon.

Currently, Nīzu Cafe is open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekends from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
