One of Vancouver's hottest new restaurants just opened a vinyl listening bar on its lower level

Plenty of new restaurants have been opening around Vancouver recently, but none had the same buzz that June did once it opened its doors. Just try to get a reservation here before 9 p.m. Now, June’s bi-level concept has officially been revealed, which includes opening Lala on its lower level.
Currently operating under a soft opening, Lala is a cozy 40-seat vinyl listening bar named after co-proprietor Keenan Hood’s daughter (Lala is her nickname).
While it may be hard to book a reservation at June’s, Lala offers a walk-in-only concept, meaning no planning months ahead to get a seat here.
Lala is serving select dishes from June’s menu (including its Truffle Eggs, Crispy Frogs Legs, Crab Dip, Beef Tartare, and June Burger) alongside classic cocktails and a relaxed atmosphere featuring a rotating selection of vinyl records.

When entering Lala, guests are presented with a unique window into what the bar calls the “ice cave” before sneaking past a velvet curtain in Lala.
Lala will continue its soft opening from May 9 to 11 from 6 p.m. to midnight. Its official grand opening is scheduled for Thursday, May 15, and it will continue to operate seven days a week after that.
