'The food is so good in Vancouver': Jennifer Garner shouts out much-loved donut shop

We already know that Metro Vancouver has a top-notch food scene, but it’s nice to be reminded that folks around the world also agree â especially when those folks are famous Hollywood celebrities.
During an interview as part of CondĂ© Nast Traveler‘s video series “Can Actors Remember Their Film Locations,” American actress Jennifer Garner (13 Going On 30, Elektra, and Catch Me If You Can) sat down with Australian actress Angourie Rice (Honor Society, The Nice Guys, and Mean Girls) to chat about Garner’s time in Vancouver filming Juno and how much she loved the area.
“I love Vancouver,” said Garner, a statement that Rice agreed with.
“I’ve spent a couple of years in Vancouver. Oh my gosh, the food is so good in Vancouver,” added Garner.

She then proceeded to give those looking to travel to Vancouver some tips, suggesting that folks need to go to Granville Island, Vancouver Island, and drive up to Deep Cove.
Those familiar with the food scene in Deep Cove will not be surprised to hear the recommendation that Garner had next.
“[Deep Cove] is where I lived when I was pregnant with my daughter, and there is a place with really good donuts,” she said.
Garner was unable to remember the name of the donut shop during the video, but locals made sure everyone knew in the comments that she was talking about none other than Honey’s Doughnuts and Goodies.
“I was intensely serious about the donuts,” she said with a laugh.
Honey’s Doughnuts also went on to share the video on its Instagram.
“We’re so honoured you remembered the doughnuts @jennifer.garner. Honey’s Doughnuts,” wrote the donut shop. “We’re so grateful for the mention. Thank you @jennifer.garner & @cntraveler for mentioning Deep Cove and us.”
