Vancouver's 24-hour grocery delivery store has quietly closed less than a year after opening

After opening its doors in August 2024, it unfortunately looks like Vancouver’s 24-hour grocery delivery store has closed its doors.
Windows for Corner Pantry Co. are papered over, a sign on the door indicates it’s closed, and the store has been listed as “Permanently Closed” on Google.

For those who don’t know, Corner Pantry Co. promised to deliver everything in 30 minutes or less with its in-house delivery team.
The store featured over 500 products, including fresh produce, household staples, cooking essentials, and more.

Located at 191 Smithe St., the store replaced the previous smoothie and salad bar, Smithe Salad.
Additionally, a 27-storey tower was proposed for the corner back in 2023.
However, those seeking a 24-hour grocery store can check out the newly opened self-serve shop Aisle 24.
