Vancouver just got a new Peruvian-inspired sandwich shop

Sandwich lovers in Vancouver have had plenty to get excited about over the past couple of months. Whether it’s a new stacked steak sandwich restaurant, a European sandwich spot, or an eatery serving Tuscan-inspired handhelds, there are plenty of new restaurants to try. Now, there’s a new spot joining the fray that is serving Peruvian-inspired sandos.
Called Bite Me!, this new restaurant is a pick-up/delivery model, meaning there’s no dining in here.
“Expect thick, juicy flavours, mind-blowing textures, and buns so good they’ll leave you weak in the knees,” said Bite Me on its website.
On the menu, you can find a variety of handhelds with Peruvian-inspired flavours. Examples include the pan con chicharron (slow-cooked pork belly, sweet fried yams, and a zesty salsa criolla), Peruvian butifarra (smoky spiced Peruvian ham with salsa criolla and bold mustard), and nikkei chicken (roasted chicken with a glaze of soy, mirin, and spices tossed with crisp snow peas, pickled daikon, and creamy house-made mayo). All these sandwiches are served on locally made ciabatta, too!
“We partner with the best local bakeries to give you bread worth getting your hands on, and we stuff our sandwiches with premium ingredients that know how to hit all the right spots. No fluff, no fillers—just straight-up, high-quality pleasure in every bite.”
With good sandwiches comes good sides, and Bite Me is serving fries in a Peruvian spice medley as well as Peruvian empanadas.
