New steak sandwich shop replaces neighbourhood cafe in Vancouver

Vancouver’s restaurant and cafe scene has been struggling, and another spot has unfortunately closed its doors: Helka Cafe.
Located at 1102 Davie St., the cafe opened its doors in 2022 and was best known for its coffee and breakfast offerings.
While Helka has yet to make an official announcement of the closure, it’s currently listed as “Permanently Closed” on Google, and a new restaurant has already opened in its place.
