Everywhere Benedict Wong and Jimmy O Yang ate in Vancouver

Vancouver has a pretty epic food scene, so much so that even Hollywood stars have taken notice. Most recently, Jimmy O Yang (Crazy Rich Asians and Silicon Valley) and Benedict Wong (Doctor Strange, 3 Body Problem, and Raya and the Last Dragon) have taken to the streets of Vancouver and visited plenty of great spots. There were so many that we had to create a list of everywhere they ate.

While we haven’t seen much of Wong in Vancouver, Yang is no stranger to the city’s great culinary scene. The actor/comedian recently shared his top Vancouver restaurants and dining destinations, in his own words, in an article with Michelin.

Additionally, Yang posted a shoutout back in 2022 while he was in town for three sold-out Just For Laughs performances at the Vogue Theatre.

Over the Halloween weekend, Wong and Yang hit up the much-loved Hapa Izakaya, and they brought the good vibes with them.

“There’s really nothing like a Hapa Halloween weekend! 🎃🙌 A massive shoutout to @jimmyoyang and @wongrel for bringing the good vibes and making the night even more epic!” shared the restaurant on Instagram with a picture of the two actors.

Kissa Tanto

Not only did stars Wong and Yang sit down to dine at Kissa Tanto, but they also took some of their coworkers.

Both are costarring alongside Kelly Marie Tran in Rock Springs, a new film from writer and director Vera Miao. The four of them were spotted enjoying drinks and oysters at Kissa Tanto.

Yang posted the photo to his Instagram story and wrote, “Squad has a good outing.”

Lunch Lady

An employee from Lunch Lady shared a selfie of her alongside Wong and Yang, which Lunch Lady then reposted on its Instagram story.

“Met some cool people today (again),” they wrote.

But Lunch Lady is no stranger to Hollywood celebrity visits. Stars like Seth Rogen, Bowen Yang, Tzi Ma, and plenty more have dined at this establishment.

Not only did Wong and Yang visit Mum’s the Word, but Wong took a turn spinning at the DJ booth.

“DJ’s every Saturday night — sometimes it’s Benedict Wong,” shared the bar on Instagram with a video of Wong laying down what we can only assume are some sick beats. Yang was spotted jamming along as well.
