All the Canadian bars named among North America's 50 Best in 2025

The longlist was revealed a few weeks back, and now, it’s time for North America’s 50 Best Bars to reveal its new, annual ranking.

The 51-100 place lineup featured 15 Canadian establishments in Vancouver (three), Calgary (three), Toronto (five), Montreal (three), and Victoria (one).

Positions one to 50 of North America’s Best Bars list were revealed in a prestigious ceremony in Vancouver on April 29.

Each bar was ranked by gathering votes from over 300 bar industry experts, including bartenders, bar owners, drinks media, and cocktail connoisseurs from across the region, which includes the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Several bars also received special awards, including two Canadian spots. Civil Works in Toronto was awarded the Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu Award.

Meanwhile, Toronto’s Bar Pompette received the prestigious title of Best Bar in Canada, as well as the Michter’s Art of Hospitality Award.

“This year’s list is a powerful testament to the relentless drive, creativity, and world-class talent that define the cocktail industry today. These bars don’t just serve drinks – they set global standards, push boundaries, and shape the future of hospitality,” says Emma Sleight, head of content for North America’s 50 Best Bars.

“We extend our congratulations to all the other incredible bars on this year’s list that spotlight pioneers and visionaries who are redefining excellence, one extraordinary cocktail at a time.”
