From the team behind the ever-popular Greedy Donut, Be’o has just opened its doors in Calgary’s Aspen neighbourhood.
This is one for the matcha fans, with drinks, cheesecake, tiramisu and cookies all made using the green stuff. It also has a good selection of donuts.

Bag O’ Crab

Bag O’ Crab has just opened a new Calgary location, at 16061 Macleod Trail SE, in the spot that was previously home to Rusty’s Roadhouse.
As the name suggests, this spot is all about seafood, with everything from Dungeness crab and lobster to shrimp and crawfish on the menu.
All you need to do is pick your seafood, sauce, and spice level of choice, and it’ll be boiled to perfection and served in the bag. As with any good seafood boil, you’ll be given gloves and a bib so you can be as messy as you’d like.

Choux & C, a new French bakery, has just opened up in Marda Loop, offering carefully crafted coffee drinks and traditional pastries.
The specialty here will be choux à la crème (or cream puffs, for the non-French speakers among us) in a variety of flavours. Previously, the brand has made crème brûlée, coconut, and passion fruit, as well as macchiato iterations, among others.

Vaycay Brew Pub

Vaycay Brew Pub, from the team behind the beer company of the same name, has just opened in Marda Loop, in the spot that was previously home to The Mash.
Brought to life by a chef-turned-brewmaster, Vaycay will be serving up a ton of globally-inspired beers, but if beer isn’t your thing, there will also be a menu of handcrafted cocktails.

Chocoberry

Chocoberry, a U.K.-born chain known for its impressive floral displays and sweet treats, has just opened its first Canadian location in Calgary.
While each Chocoberry location is slightly different, expect dazzling floral arrangements and Instagram-worthy desserts. Among the treats on offer will be Chocoberry’s waffle bites, adorned with chocolate and strawberries. The spot is also known for its signature San Sebastian cheesecake.
