Costco shoppers in Alberta will soon have two new locations to check out, with both stores set to open within one day of each other later this month.
Costco Wholesale Canada says the first new warehouse opening will be in Edmonton at 285 Ebbers Blvd. NW, just west of Manning Drive.
The new warehouse is a relocation of the 13650 5th St. NW location, which has been open for nearly 35 years. That store will be closed as of Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m.

The new Edmonton store will include a hearing aid department, a gas station with 24 gas pumps, which is currently open to members, a pharmacy and more than 1,000 parking spots.
The Edmonton location will open to the public on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 7 a.m.
The demand for new Costcos in Alberta seems stronger than ever, and a second location is mere days away from opening, too.
News of the more than 150,000-square-foot Lloydminster Costco has been around since 2023, and according to its project website, it will also sit on a nearly 20-acre parcel of land and will mark the city’s first Costco location.
The store is located at 1703 75th Ave., and it is set to offer nearly 900 parking stalls, a tire centre, food service, dairy cooler, produce cooler, bakery, rotisserie, sushi prep, deli, hearing centre, pharmacy, a 4,350-square-foot liquor pod, and a gas bar, according to the Peak Construction Group.

In an email sent out to Costco members last month, the company stated that the Lloydminster gas station is now open and will operate from 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
It also revealed that the grand opening for the Lloydminster Costco is set for Thursday, Nov. 19.
With both the Lloydminster and Edmonton warehouse opening dates secured, there will be a total of 20 Costco locations in Alberta, and there are others in the works in Calgary and Stony Plain.
The Calgary location is planned for Bingham Crossing, just west of the city, while another was recently revealed to be coming to the Stony Plain area, just west of Edmonton.
