The restaurant industry in Vancouver can be fickle and ā€“ once again ā€“ the cityā€™s dining sceneĀ has suffered some casualties.Ā Alas, this is the way of the foodie world.

Here isĀ yourĀ update on restaurants in and around VancouverĀ that have recently shuttered or will do so imminently.

The brandā€™sĀ 111 Dunsmuir Street Unit 1 location has beenĀ marked closed onlineĀ and removed from its official website. A Reddit userā€™s photo shows the now-shuttered space with signage up of whatā€™s to come.

The Spot Cafe

Popular neighbourhood mom-and-pop eateryĀ The Spot Cafe has confirmed to Daily Hive that its last day of operation was October 27.

Nomad Restaurant, located at 3950 Main Street, cooked up its last brunch service on October 27 before shuttering.

Cajun-Creole spot Ouisi Bistro has been operating atĀ 3014 Granville Street for several years, and it officially closed its doors on October 26.

Much-loved Vancouver eatery West Restaurant + Bar is closing after two decades of operation. The South Granville staple has been serving up elegant fare and amazing service for 20 years, and it will be shuttering at the end of December.

The third-floor eatery has operated inside the upscale downtown Vancouver hotel for a decade, and it will be offering patrons its last-ever service onĀ New Yearā€™s Eve before closing on January 1, 2020.

The small 12,000-sq-ft-lot is right next to the Capital Residences tower and is currently occupied by a 1914-built single-storey retail building with tenants such as a picture frame store, Red Burrito, Simonā€™s Bike Shop, Vancity Weed, Thai Cuisine Restaurant, and India Gate.Ā In a recent Instagram post, the restaurant said it received an eviction notice to vacate the property.
