The restaurant industry in Vancouver can be fickle and – once again – the city’s dining scene has suffered some casualties. Alas, this is the way of the foodie world.

The brand’s 111 Dunsmuir Street Unit 1 location has been marked closed online and removed from its official website. A Reddit user’s photo shows the now-shuttered space with signage up of what’s to come.

Popular neighbourhood mom-and-pop eatery The Spot Cafe has confirmed to Daily Hive that its last day of operation was October 27.

Cajun-Creole spot Ouisi Bistro has been operating at 3014 Granville Street for several years, and it officially closed its doors on October 26.

Cacao 70 (Downtown Vancouver,  North Vancouver)

After closing its West End location this past spring, Cacao has confirmed to Daily Hive that it has officially closed two other locations in BC.

Much-loved Vancouver eatery West Restaurant + Bar is closing after two decades of operation. The South Granville staple has been serving up elegant fare and amazing service for 20 years, and it will be shuttering at the end of December.

The third-floor eatery has operated inside the upscale downtown Vancouver hotel for a decade, and it will be offering patrons its last-ever service on New Year’s Eve before closing on January 1, 2020.

The small 12,000-sq-ft-lot is right next to the Capital Residences tower and is currently occupied by a 1914-built single-storey retail building with tenants such as a picture frame store, Red Burrito, Simon’s Bike Shop, Vancity Weed, Thai Cuisine Restaurant, and India Gate. In a recent Instagram post, the restaurant said it received an eviction notice to vacate the property.
