10 companies hiring for hundreds of Vancouver jobs this November

We can’t believe we’re saying this, but it’s almost the end of the year. So, if switching careers was a goal of yours for this fall, you’re in luck, as there are tons of jobs available at major companies across Vancouver.

Whether your expertise is in hospitality or software engineering, enjoy the great outdoors or luxury brands, there’s bound to be a job for you at one of these companies.

So, update your resumes and write a cover letter if any of these places catch your eye. Here are 10 places with some awesome gigs up for grabs this November.

Mt. Seymour

Ski and snowboard season is approaching quickly, and Mt. Seymour is hiring people of all backgrounds and levels of experience for various winter jobs.

Positions range from full-time to part-time, and they include everything from guest experience to terrain park rangers and snow plow operators. Some jobs also require a background in food services.

Canadian Mental Health Association 

The Canadian Mental Health Association is an organization that aims to transform mental health and wellness practices for individuals, communities, and organizations through programs and services.

If you want to be part of the CMHA team, it is looking for people to fill roles in Metro Vancouver, such as a vocational rehabilitation counsellor and a housing program manager.

Vancouver Aquarium

Ready to make a splash in your career with a new job? The Vancouver Aquarium might just have the perfect role for you.

One of the most iconic attractions in the city is currently hiring for several full- and part-time positions, including fish house assistant, security guard, and banquet server/bartender.

Amazon

With the holidays quickly approaching, Amazon has announced plans to hire thousands of positions across Canada.

The e-commerce giant began hiring 7,000 seasonal roles in October and will continue through December.

Positions are available at Amazon Canada fulfillment centres, sortation centres, and delivery stations from coast to coast. Seasonal roles include stowing, picking, packing, sorting, and shipping customer orders.

Metro Vancouver Regional District

The Metro Vancouver Regional District has job openings available, and some have very appealing wages.

Working for Metro Vancouver means working for one of the most impactful organizations in B.C. Headquartered near Metrotown, it provides utility services, including water, sewer, and wastewater treatment, to the region.

Metro Vancouver Regional District also runs air quality statements for the 21 municipalities, one electoral area, and one treaty First Nation it represents.

And with over three million residents in B.C.’s most populous region, your job will be an important one.

Vancouver Police Department

The Vancouver Police Department is continuing its search for individuals to join its team of police officers, and they’re offering a competitive starting wage.

B.C.’s largest municipal police agency posted on its social media channels that those looking for a career filled with “excitement and purpose” can find it at the VPD.

Those hired to fill the vacant positions will be offered a starting salary of $85,392, and that can grow to $121,992 within four years.

Microsoft

If you’ve always dreamed about working at Microsoft, the tech giant is hiring for a bunch of jobs in Vancouver.

Opportunities include software engineers, security researchers, content designers, and more.

If you have education to back up your expertise in technical wizardry, some of the tech positions being offered by the Windows and Xbox creator pay a lot of money, and all of the roles are full-time positions.

McDonald’s

There are dozens of job openings at McDonald’s locations across Vancouver, including part-time and full-time positions. The popular fast-food restaurant is searching for crew members, shift managers, line cooks, and more.

McDonald’s offers staff access to education, skills-development opportunities and flexible hours. Here, you can be rewarded with discounts, incentives, and recognition perks.

Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS)

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is on the lookout for new recruits, and Metro Vancouver residents could land a federal job that pays six figures, even without a university degree.

From surveillance to technical support, CSIS has multiple postings open in Burnaby right now, with salaries ranging from the high $60,000s to over $120,000.

McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport

McArthurGlen Vancouver is a luxury designer outlet from McArthurGlen Group, a developer and manager of designer outlets.

The Airport Outlet Mall is hiring for several roles at stores for iconic brands like Versace, Cole Haan, and Kate Spade New York.
