Lauryn Hill

What: Lauryn Hill, who burst onto the music scene as part of The Fugees’ hit 1996 album, The Score, will be playing the Orpheum Theatre on Nov. 24 as part of an artist-in-residence tour.
Hill is best known for The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, which produced hits such as “Doo Wop (That Thing)” and “Everything Is Everything” and won five Grammy Awards. She’s also well known for her political activism.

IndieFest 2025
What: IndieFest, presented by re:Naissance, is a showcase of new and genre-defying live performances that highlight the people and stories that have been overshadowed by history and tradition.
This year’s festival is themed “Colliding Art Forms” and will delve into the surprising ways that artists and audiences connect. Highlights include the musical premiere concert experience of Inferno: A Hip Hop Opera, Future Mythologies showcase, and more.

VSO Kids Concert Series
What: The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra has put together a series of concerts tailored for their youngest fans. The family is invited to enjoy theatre, dance, music and more, as well as to explore the VSO School of Music Playzone.
November’s presentation is The Peasant Prince: A Symphonic Tale, with acclaimed musical storyteller Katy Abbott bringing Li Cunxin’s best-selling memoir Mao’s Last Dancer to life.

Chor Leoni – The Songs Will Remain

Chor Leoni
What: Chor Leoni presents the 34th annual Remembrance Day observance at St. Andrew’s-Wesley United. The program of music and readings showcases diverse perspectives on war and injustice and honours those who sang their songs. The Songs Will Remain is a concert for community contemplation, reflection, and dreams of peace.

Sloan
What: Juno Award-winning Canadian rockers Sloan are coming to the Commodore Ballroom with A Tour De Force, showcasing the band’s latest album, Based on the Best Seller. Sloan is one of the country’s best-selling artists with hits like “If It Feels Good Do It” and “Losing California.”

Flow: Naruto The Rock
What: Japanese quintet Flow bill themselves as the “top anime band in existence,” and having collaborated with over 50 anime titles in the past 15 years, they just might be able to back it up. They bring their celebration of Naruto to the Vogue Theatre in November.

Bonus Stage Ultimate
What: Metro Vancouver-based Bonus Stage is celebrating its tenth anniversary with an Ultimate one-night-only variety show all about video games. The evening will feature live music by missingNo, Thennecan, and The Last Seahorse. There will also be improv comedy, burlesque performers, a costume contest, trivia, and more.

Bif Naked Live
