Fresh Air Cinema and Evo Car Share have unveiled the lineup for the 2026 edition of the Evo Summer Cinema Series, returning to the Grand Lawn at Ceperley Meadows near Second Beach.
Thousands of people will gather every Tuesday from July 14 to Sept. 1 for Canada’s largest outdoor movie series. You can watch a curated lineup of Hollywood hits and family favourites on the giant 40-foot inflatable movie screen.

VIFF
What: Strap in, film lovers, because Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) is transporting audiences back to the ’90s this summer.
The celebration at VIFF Centre – Vancity Theatre includes dozens of all-time classics from the decade, including comedies, indie darlings, and action blockbusters, screening until Aug. 31, 2026.
The series proceeds chronologically through the summer, highlighting important cinematic landmarks like Titanic, Schindler’s List, Dazed and Confused, and more.

What: Vancouver’s ever-popular Car Free Day is returning this summer for two epic celebrations across the city.
The massive street festivals are presented by Car Free Vancouver Society as well as Translink, local municipalities, and BIAs to promote the growth of car-free culture and spaces.
Each year, thousands of attendees enjoy entertainment, food vendors and artisan booths, kids’ activities, and more. Best of all, the events are free to check out.

Symphony at Sunset
What: Who doesn’t love a free summer concert? One of Vancouver’s most beloved summertime traditions, Symphony at Sunset, is back at a new temporary location this July for its seventh year.
The annual event brings together the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and hundreds of beach-goers for a magical evening of live orchestral music. This year will be held in David Lam Park.

FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver – Amphitheatre Concert Series
What: Soccer fans from around the world are coming to Vancouver this summer for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and so are some of music’s biggest artists.
FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver has revealed the amphitheatre concert series lineup at the PNE, and it includes two signature concerts with international stars Mötley Crüe and Kx5 (Kaskade and Deadmau5).
The ticketed events will be part of a massive transformation of the PNE into a “FIFA World Cup hub” with “family-focused entertainment to immersive fan activities for all ages.”

What: Parallel 49 is transforming its 250-seat patio and event space into an outdoor viewing area for all of the games this June and July. From June 11 to July 19, Greta YVR will stream the majority of matches with sound on, opening its doors 30 minutes before kickoff so fans can settle in before the action begins.
With multiple big screens, private and semi-private viewing areas, over 50 arcade games, and a match day-inspired food and drink menu, Greta is the ultimate fan headquarters during the tournament.
Getting to and from the action is easy with Last Stop Greta, a complimentary round-trip shuttle service between BC Place and Greta aboard a HeyYa golf cart. Available on a first-come, first-served basis, fans can look for Last Stop Greta before and after matches to catch a free ride.

Head to Helmcken Plaza, Yaletown’s largest outdoor patio destination for FIFA, where Earls Yaletown and Yaletown Brewing Company are teaming up for experiences in the open-air setting. Enjoy the expansive outdoor seating, cold drinks, and match viewing on the patios with your friends.
