Vancouver Pride Parade

Vancouver Pride Society

The parade will start at 1 p.m. with over 100 vibrant parade entries, entertaining performers, community floats, and more.

Parade accessibility viewing zones are available for free, on a first-come, first-served basis, at the Roundhouse Community Centre. There will also be a “Pride Pitstop” at BC Place by donation from noon to 4 p.m.

Two other marches are happening in the city during the festival period, including the Trans March on Friday, July 31, and the Vancouver Dyke March on Saturday, Aug. 1.

Vancouver Rise vs Montreal Roses.

Chinatown Passport

What: To help encourage visitors to dine in the neighbourhood, some of the top restaurants and bars in Chinatown are teaming up to offer a stamp-collecting experience with a pretty sweet prize.

Introducing the Chinatown Passport, a digital stamp challenge that will take locals and tourists alike to different restaurants in Chinatown, all for a chance to win a two-day trip to Bodega Ridge on Galiano.

What: The fourth annual 4FTERWERK is being celebrated on the Friday of Pride Weekend in Vancouver. Everyone is invited to join Vancouver Queer Irish at Parallel 49 for a night of drag, music, community, and fundraising in support of Qmunity and VQI.

Music Mountain Series at Sea to Sky Gondola

It falls on the same weekend as the Vancouver Pride Parade, which will be held on Sunday, Aug. 2.

What: Gateway Theatre hosts True Voices: Pride Storytelling Event, a free community event of live storytelling showcasing members of the LGBTQ2S+ community. Soccer & Technology from the FIFA Museum exhibit at Science World

What: Science World will fully embrace the FIFA World Cup spirit inside its walls, hosting an official soccer-themed exhibition from the FIFA Museum in Zurich, Switzerland.

Evo Summer Cinema Series at Stanley Park

What: Outdoor movies in Stanley Park are back this summer, and you can even help pick one of the films to watch under the stars.

Fresh Air Cinema and Evo Car Share present the 2026 edition of the Evo Summer Cinema Series on the Grand Lawn at Ceperley Meadows near Second Beach.

Thousands of people will gather every Tuesday until Sept. 1 for Canada’s largest outdoor movie series. You can watch a curated lineup of Hollywood hits and family favourites on the giant 40-foot inflatable movie screen.

What: White Rock’s signature summer events are back for their 73rd year with a ton of free family-friendly fun down by the water.

The annual White Rock Sea Festival and Semiahmoo Days are happening from July 31 to Aug. 2 at Memorial Park and Bayview Park.

Guests of the seaside shindigs will discover live concerts across multiple stages, interactive activities, fireworks, and more. And the fun kicks off on Friday with an outdoor movie.

Vanier Park: Monthly Pay-What-You-Can Sundays at Vancouver’s Museums

What: H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, Vancouver Maritime Museum, and the Museum of Vancouver are partnering up for Pay-What-You-Can Sundays.

On the first Sunday of every month, guests of all ages are invited to visit the three Kitsilano waterfront attractions and explore the exhibits without financial barriers.

The three Vancouver attractions are within walking distance of each other in Vanier Park, and guests can discover maritime history, learn about local heritage, and explore science and space.

What: The 50th annual Powell Street Festival is happening on Aug. 1 and 2 at Oppenheimer Park and the Paueru Gai (the Powell Street area and Vancouver’s historical Japanese neighbourhood).

There will be over dozens of events and performances to check out at this year’s Japanese street festival, including live music, dance performances, film screenings and more.

Expect to find traditional Japanese food, festival food, comforting community cuisine, sweets, refreshing treats, and more during your visit. There will be plenty of food and craft vendors to discover this year as well.
