What: It’s never too early to think about Christmas, especially when a festive event is gearing up for its Metro Vancouver return this fall.
The Shipyards Christmas Market is back in North Vancouver, starting on Friday, Nov. 28 and running through to Christmas Eve. Check out dozens of artisan stalls, food vendors, and live performers, as well as visits with Santa, and more.

What: Vancouver’s take on the traditional German beer festival comes in the form of Harvest Haus, a fun-filled weekend combining modern cuisine with traditional and “authentic European harvest traditions.”

The BOG at Riverside Cranberry Farm
What: Just an hour’s drive from Vancouver, the Riverside Cranberry Farm is opening for the new season. Don stylish hip waders and waddle down the ladder straight into a flooded field. Surrounded by floating red berries, you’ll feel like a kid again, gently wading through the water.
Be sure to take the Harvest Farm Tour before you take the plunge. This self-guided tour of the field’s perimeter lets you watch the harvest in real time.

The Wedding Party
What: The Wedding Party, an immersive experience presented by Secret City Adventures, will take over Glowbal Restaurant in Downtown Vancouver starting Friday, Oct. 3.

What: The most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner, and the city’s largest and longest-running Christmas Market has announced its return this holiday season.
Vancouver Christmas Market is transforming Jack Poole Plaza into a huge German-style holiday event from Thursday, Nov. 13, to Monday, Dec. 24.
A popular holiday tradition for locals and visitors alike, the market features over 35 food and drink vendors, as well as more than 75 artisans and makers. There are also plenty of festive activities, live entertainment and new experiences to enjoy.

Mendes has eight Juno Awards and three Grammy nominations under his belt, as well as won 13 SOCAN awards and 10 MTV Europe Music Awards. In 2018, he was named one of Time‘s 100 most influential people in the world and also provided the singing voice of the title character in the film Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile.

Hyrox: World Series of Fitness Racing
What: Hyrox, the world’s fastest-growing fitness sport, is making its Vancouver debut, and you’d better be ready to work up a sweat.
The huge competition is taking over the Vancouver Convention Centre from Dec. 20 to 21, with thousands of fans and participants expected to attend.
The World Series of Fitness Racing comprises over 80 international competitions in 2025, and organizers promise that Hyrox Vancouver will be an “unforgettable weekend.”

Noel Surrey and Bright Nights
What: Noel Surrey will feature massive displays, stunning LED forests, and photo opportunities, along with 300 feet of light tunnels.
Take a stroll around the pond at Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre to enjoy the accessible Bright Nights light display, produced through thousands of volunteer hours by over 800 firefighters.
Bright Nights has roots in Surrey and is the single largest fundraiser each year for the Burn Fund, which provides life-saving, life-supporting, and life-enriching services to people in B.C.

What: Beginning in Fall 2025, a stretch of Stanley Park’s towering trees will be infused with a touch of magic. After dusk, the forest will glow with an otherworldly trail where wands are welcome, creatures stir in the shadows, and Harry Potter’s Forbidden Forest is brought to life beneath Vancouver’s canopy.

Some of the most thought-provoking pieces that can be seen throughout the traditional unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations are the dozens of Indigenous murals. The lineup of artists this year includes Moses Salihou, a Cameroonian artist who blends abstraction with portraiture, Maggie Hall, a painter inspired by pop culture, and Cole Speck, a Kwakwaka’wakw artist who infuses Northwest Coast carving traditions with contemporary narratives.

Amour, acide et noix (Love, Acid and Nuts) by Daniel Léveillé (Montreal)
What: DanceHouse presents Daniel Léveillé’s Amour, acide et noix (Love, Acid and Nuts). Set against a score of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, pop music, and birdsong, Léveillé uses the mechanics of arms, legs, torsos and skulls to plumb the very nature of the human condition. Note: the performance includes nudity.
As the dancers move through a series of entanglements, the shock of nudity dissipates, aided by a hint of humour that runs beneath the solos, duets, and ensemble work.

19th annual Vancouver Story Slam Storytelling Championship Finals
What: The 19th annual Vancouver Story Slam Storytelling Championship is the grand finale of the 2025 Vancouver Story Slam season. Ten storytellers bring their best stories to the longest-running storytelling event of its kind in Canada.
The winner, selected by an anonymous audience ballot, will receive a share of $2,500 in cash prizes as well as the title of the year’s Vancouver Story Slam Champion. Stories are not pre-screened and are as unique and entertaining as the people telling them.
