Abbotsford’s Maan Farms is known for its epic fall events, and this year, it is introducing a new Halloween Fright Festival.

According to a media release, the new Maan Farms event will run from Sept. 27 to Nov. 1, and will include its epic corn maze.

Maan Farms said the expanded event is meant to stretch the magic of Halloween beyond a single night, blending nostalgia with terrifying new experiences.

The release notes that the farm’s signature scare zones have been reimagined for maximum immersion.

Slaughterhouse, described as “the scariest corn maze in Canada,” will have guests attempting to outwit a chainsaw-wielding butcher before stumbling through gruesome chambers and finishing in a “blood-fall” finale.

The Way Down pushes visitors into suffocating darkness, where hoods, shadowy figures, and unsettling sounds heighten the fear before the nightmare continues in Pitch Black.

Homestead has also been transformed into 3D CarnEvil, a first for B.C., where 3D glasses and ultraviolet puppetry warp reality at every turn.

The Frightfully Fun Forest Pumpkin Patch, meanwhile, has been elevated with glowing lights, mist-shrouded trees, and oversized mushroom and butterfly houses designed for Halloween photo ops.

Once the sun sets, live theatrical performances will roll out across the wine garden, the Midway, and the pumpkin patch.

Food and drink will also be part of the experience.

Mama Maan’s Country Kitchen will serve butter chicken and chickpea curry bowls, samosas, seasonal pizzas, kettle corn, and desserts like Apple Pie Samosas.

The spooky drink lineup includes the smoky Witches Brew cocktail, wine “blood bags,” and seasonal pumpkin spice creations.
