Tim Hortons Singapore released a Vancouver-inspired drink and you won't believe what it is
While Tim Hortons has become synonymous with Canada, the chain has outposts across the world, including in the U.S., U.K., and parts of Asia, all with their own drink and food offerings.
Currently, Tim Hortons Singapore has launched a menu celebrating specific Canadian cities, each with its own unique drink creation. The three cities the brand chose to feature are Montreal, Victoria, and Vancouver.
For Montreal, it’s serving a latte featuring nutty notes and a generous swirl of cream, while for Victoria, it has created a tiramisu-inspired coffee drink.
However, for Vancouver’s drink, some may be surprised to find that Tim Hortons Singapore has chosen a matcha latte to represent the city.
Called the Vancouver Matcha Cloud Latte, Tim Hortons Singapore describes this creation as “a serene blend of traditional matcha, smooth espresso, and a delicate sea salt blue pea cloud foam, inspired by the city’s serene skies and waters.”

It was no secret that Vancouver has become a matcha-crazed city over the past couple of years, with the pop-up of multiple matcha cafes, including Paragon Tea Room, Cowdog, and the recently opened Nizu Cafe, to name a few. But it appears we’re so matcha-obsessed that the rest of the world has started to take notice as well.

However, some took to the comments to point out the fact that, despite Tim Hortons Singapore calling this matcha latte a “Vancouver” drink, Tim Hortons does not serve matcha in Vancouver.
“Named it Vancouver yet it ain’t in Vancouver,” said one person.
“I like how you guys won’t even offer good stuff in Vancouver, British Columbia. I guess Canadians come last as usual,” said another.
“Yes, but just not in Vancouver,” shared a third.
In fact, the only places you can get a matcha latte from Tim Hortons in Canada are at its Urban Cafe locations, most of which are based in Toronto, Ont.
