Richmond Shanghainese restaurant known for soup dumplings closes after 15+ years

The restaurant industry can be fickle, and we unfortunately lost another long-standing Metro Vancouver restaurant known for its authentic soup dumplings.
Dished received confirmation that Suhang Restaurant has closed its doors after over 15 years of serving dim sum to the Richmond community.
A representative from Tourism Richmond was able to share that the reason for the closure is that the owners were retiring.

During our most recent run of the Richmond Dumpling Trail, we had the chance to dine at Suhang and try some of its much-loved soup dumplings, alongside its other Shanghainese dishes.
This isn’t the only restaurant that has closed recently in Richmond. Just in May, we saw the closure of the 15-year-old 4 Stones Vegetarian Cuisine, Mama’s Diner, and Missing Chopstick.
