One of Vancouver's most affordable restaurants just opened its patio

Ray’s, one of Vancouver’s newest (and most affordable) restaurants, has just given people another reason to visit with the opening of its patio.

Just in time for patio season, the 60-seat outdoor space has officially opened, offering folks in Yaletown an outdoor destination that is equipped for year-round use, possible through its fully enclosed design with guillotine-style windows that open during warm weather and close during cooler months.

“Ray’s was built around the idea of creating a place where people can gather, relax, and enjoy great food without overcomplicating things,” said Cody Cochrane, GM of Ray’s. “The patio extends that experience outdoors and gives guests a comfortable space to enjoy everything from a casual lunch meeting to happy hour drinks, dinner with friends, or a late-night bite in the heart of Yaletown.”

Located just across from Yaletown-Roundhouse Station, Ray’s opened its doors earlier this year, offering what it calls a “day-dinner-dark dining experience,” presenting guests with a vibrant setting that evolves from day to dinner to late night.

The menu is focused on familiar, nostalgic favourites. Think double-patty smash burgers, cheesy pastas, and soft serve ice cream sundaes. It’s so affordable, in fact, that we were able to enjoy a multi-course dinner with drinks for two for just under $100.

Ray’s is open daily starting at 11 a.m., with the restaurant opening as early as 9 a.m. on select match days during the summer (complete with its own breakfast menu).
