Jun 22 2026, 7:12 pm

You know what they say, suns out, buns out. Which is obviously about hot dog buns… right?

Nothing screams hot dogs like warm weather and blue skies, and Vancouver is home to plenty of great restaurants and bars serving up their take on a glizzy. So many, in fact, that it can be hard to choose where to grab the iconic handheld.

That’s why we took to Instagram to ask our readers who they think serves the best hot dogs in Vancouver, and we got plenty of answers.

From breweries serving up gourmet hot dogs to dogs served in focaccia, these are the best hot dogs in Vancouver, according to our readers.

Main Street Brewing

The team at Main Street Brewing have recently started offering some kick-ass hot dogs courtesy of Brathause. From The Felix (beer bratwurst sausage with sauerkraut, pickles, chives and horseradish dijon mustard) to The Pete (gaucho chorizo sausage with gouda, mozzarella & cheddar cheese crust with onions and bell peppers), there are plenty of drool-worthy options to indulge in.

While this hot dog is not currently available on AMA, we’re hoping that adding it to this list will encourage AMA to bring it back. The Wagyu Glizzy consists of a wagyu hot dog topped with miso caramelized onions, house aioli, and nori served on a house-made sesame milk bun.

If there were an award for the fanciest glizzy in Vancouver, June might be the winner. Available on its late-night menu from Thursday to Saturday, the June Dog consists of June’s take on a Hawaiian bun, which is steamed to order and brushed with Vancouver Island sea salt, sesame seeds, and butter and a pork and beef sausage. It’s then topped with rotating garnishes to keep things fresh.

While not in Vancouver, there’s no denying that Lully’s Dog knows how to serve one heck of a hot dog (even celebrity Bethenny Frankel said it was the best hot dog she’s ever had in her life). Just make sure you don’t ask for ketchup when you visit.
