Stone-oven baked pizza spot to open new Vancouver location

It’s no secret that the people of Vancouver like their pizza, and there are so many great spots to get your pizza from. Whether you’re looking for world-renowned pizza or vegan pies recommended by none other than Billie Eilish, Vancouver has it all. And now, the city will soon have another destination for the fan-favourite cuisine.
La Ruota is opening a new location at 514 West Broadway, the former spot of Pi Co’s first-ever BC location, which opened in January 2023.
La Ruota is best known for its traditional pizzas inspired by the ones found in Naples, Italy. It uses Caputo “00” flour, which the pizza spot said is ideal for pizzas because it’s finely ground and has a lower gluten content than most flours.
“We created La Ruota Pizzeria to serve amazingly traditional and new world pizzas made the southern Italian way. Using the hand-picked, fresh ingredients, combined in the most creative way possible, we cook pizzas to perfection in our 900° oven,” said the pizzeria.
