'World's largest mazesoba chain restaurant' closes Vancouver location

It’s been a rough couple of weeks for restaurant closures, with the likes of BC Kitchen and The Boathouse Restaurant’s Port Moody location all sharing closing announcements. Now, another restaurant has announced it’ll be closing a Vancouver location as well: Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba.
Kokoro is known best for its mazesoba ā a soupless ramen served with an assortment of different meat and veggie toppings. The restaurant also serves traditional ramen and other Japanese cuisines.

Currently, the chain has locations all across Metro Vancouver, including Surrey, Burnaby, and multiple outposts in Vancouver.
“Our restaurant has closed permanently at Kitsilano location as of today,” wrote the restaurant on Feb. 2. “Thank you sincerely for your support, love, and memories here over the years.”

Aside from sharing it’s coming this year, an opening date for this new location has yet to be announced.
