Vancouver sports bar closes after eight years — new multi-storey restaurant to take its place

The restaurant industry can be fickle, and unfortunately, another eatery has shared that it has closed its doors: BC Kitchen.
The sports bar located inside the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver has shared that it has permanently closed its doors.
A representative confirmed the closure to Dished, making sure to thank staff and guests who had visited over the last 8 years of operation.
BC Kitchen was best known for its selection of classic and comforting pub options, including burgers, pizza, and craft beer.
However, we also have word of what will be replacing the sports bar, and it includes a new multi-storey restaurant along with a new Starbucks at the corner of Smithe and Pacific.
“These additions join our recently launched Sportsbook Lounge, featuring a 50-foot screen, and the Johnnie Walker Lounge, designed for private and corporate events,” shared Parq Casino. “Together, these developments reflect Parq’s ongoing growth, commitment to innovation, and the creation of new jobs for our community.”
