The Boathouse Restaurant to close Port Moody location after nearly 20 years

Jan 30 2026, 11:05 pm

The Boathouse Restaurant is unfortunately closing another one of its locations, this time in Port Moody.

The restaurant confirmed the news to Dished over the phone, adding that its final day of operation would be April 23, 2026. The location also shared that a corporation had bought the space, but could not confirm which corporation it was.

Additionally, in a statement to Dished, COO of The Boathouse Restaurant Shah Ghani said, “The Boathouse Restaurant located in Port Moody is under contract to be sold at a date and time in the distant future. Please continue to enjoy the property now, and in the future.”

Boathouse Restaurant Port Moody first opened its doors in 2007, marking an almost 20-year run for the eatery.

After the closure of its Port Moody location, the only Boathouse Restaurant location left will be in New Westminster at 900 Quayside Dr.

This announcement follows the closure of The Boathouse Restaurant’s location in White Rock and Kitsilano, which both shuttered on Sept. 21. 2025.

At the time of the closure of White Rock and Kitsilano, Ghani said, “We are grateful for everyone who has made our time at these locations special, and are thankful to our dedicated employees for their hard work throughout the years. While it’s time to close this chapter, the spirit of The Boathouse lives on at our other nearby locations, where we remain committed to providing an exceptional experience for our guests.”

While we still don’t know what will be opening in the White Rock location, we have received confirmation that the Hawksworth Restaurant Group (known for operating its namesake restaurant at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, as well as Nightingale Restaurant and Bel Cafe) will be opening a new concept at The Boathouse Restaurant’s former Kitsilano outpost.
