Much-loved specialty cafe closes only BC location a year after opening
Many were excited when they heard Festal Cafe had reopened in Squamish in January 2024 after it had closed its Vancouver location. However, the cafe has now shared that it is closing its most recent and only location just over a year later.
“After much consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our doors,” shared the cafe on Instagram.

Festal was best known for its completely gluten-free menu, with vegan, Paleo, and Keto options such as butternut lasagna, pesto turkey burgers, paleo pasta options, salad bowls, pizza, sandwiches, and more.

“It has been a true pleasure to serve this incredible community in Squamish. We are deeply grateful for the support, friendships, and memories we’ve built together,” concluded the cafe.
Festal did not provide a reason for the closure.
