From SkyTrain announcements to pop-up shopping experiences, Vancouver was buzzing with excitement while Bruno Mars was in town. Similarly, Bruno Mars seemed just as excited to be in our lovely city.
“We also had the privilege to walk around this city, to meet new people, and to try new cuisine, and we love it down here. If y’all don’t mind, we would love to come back and sing for you all again,” said Bruno Mars during his fifth concert.
And when it comes to cuisine, there were a couple of places he obviously fell in love with, visiting them multiple times during his stay.

Just like his record-breaking five performances at BC Place, Bruno Mars also ate at Anh and Chi a whopping five times during his stay in Vancouver.
“It’s been such a joy and honour to welcome Bruno several times. Him and his team are so modest and lovely, we couldn’t help but keep things private during his stay in Vancouver,” said Vincent Nguyen, who co-owns Anh and Chi with Amelie Nguyen.
“As a family-owned Vietnamese restaurant, sharing our food and hospitality with someone who came from similar humble beginnings and who brings so much joy to the world is incredibly special. We wanted to celebrate this intimate experience with Vancouver and share a little 24K magic with our guests.”
As for what he ate, Amelie told Dished that Bruno Mars enjoyed dishes including the Bun Bo Hue (spicy noodle soup), Chili Fish Sauce Wings, and Anh and Chi’s Chili Oil (going as far as to ask for extra chili oil in his to-go order).
In addition to his visits, Bruno Mars gifted the team a dozen floor tickets to his show.
