Viral automated dumpling shop opens its first B.C. location in Vancouver

After over a year of waiting, the viral automated dumpling purveyor, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, has officially opened the doors to its first B.C. location in Vancouver.
Located at 488 Robson St., Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is opening in the former location of Food Republic, a short-lived digital food hall concept.

First founded in 2021 by NYC restaurateur Stratis Morfogen, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop serves unique flavours of dumplings all day via a contactless ordering system.
This means customers can access food from state-of-the-art, temperature-controlled food lockers at any time — it’s like a vending machine, but for dumplings.
Customers can expect flavours like Mac & Cheese, Pepperoni Pizza, and Korean Rib-Eye dumplings, to name a few.
In 2023, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop shared big plans for franchises across Canada, including in Calgary and B.C. The team previously told Dished it has plans to open two other locations in Burnaby and has an eye on other cities throughout B.C. for expansion.
