Breka, Big Way Hot Pot, and more to open in growing Metro Vancouver culinary hub

Surrey’s City Centre has been booming with new restaurants lately. Vancouver-favourite Nemesis opened its first Surrey location at Surrey Pavilion not too long ago, alongside other restaurants like Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba, Kinton Ramen, and Skye Avenue. Now, two heavy-hitters in the Metro Vancouver dining scene are joining the party: Breka and Big Way Hot Pot.
PCI Developments recently revealed that both chains will be opening locations at its Plaza One and Plaza Two sections of King George Hub in Surrey.
“It’s been a meaningful four-year journey since these homes first sold out and construction began. Reaching this point wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our incredible team — and the trust of every homeowner who believed in the vision,” wrote PCI Developments.

Joining the two eateries will also be a BMO, Anytime Fitness, and Sandbox VR.
“Looking ahead, we’re excited to introduce the fifth and final phase: Tether at King George Hub, now under construction. This purpose-built rental tower will add 402 new homes along with expansive in-building amenities,” added PCI Developments.

This will mark the first Surrey location for Breka, which is best known for its selection of coffee, pastries, and sandwiches, as well as for being open 24/7.
“Surprise! It’s us 😍. We’re coming to Surrey 🥳,” wrote Breka.
Additionally, this is the first Surrey location for the self-serve hot pot restaurant Big Way, which has been making major expansion moves across Metro Vancouver and beyond.
Exact opening dates for Breka and Big Way Hot Pot in Surrey have yet to be announced.
