Vancouver restaurant to reopen two years after fire

Two years ago, a massive fire in the Kerrisdale neighbourhood destroyed several beloved Vancouver restaurants and shops. Among the businesses lost were Deer Island Bakery, Nando’s, Yummy Yogurt, Westside Vapes, Sandy Farm Market, and Pho Tan Vientamese restaurant.
Fast forward to today, and one of those businesses is making a comeback.
“Big news for the village: Nando’s Kerrisdale is coming back! After the fire two years ago, the PERi-PERi favourite is reopening just down the street at the former Jess’ Restaurant location,” shared the Kerrisdale Business Association.

It added that renovations are expected to start soon, meaning the neighbourhood will soon be able to enjoy its signature peri-peri chicken.
