Popular hidden gem breakfast spot to replace long-time Vancouver bistro

Cajun-Creole spot Ouisi Bistro was operating at 3014 Granville Street for over two decades before it closed its doors on October 26, 2019.

A South Granville staple and solid destination for filling eats and live music, we were sad to see it go, but we’ve got some news that might ease the pain of Ouisi’s shuttering.

Popular hidden gem Breakfast Table is one of a handful of businesses being affected by the sale of a building on West Broadway.

Not unlike its neighbour and 18-year leaseholder Memphis Blues BBQ, the Asian-fusion comfort eats spot is being forced to shutter at its current address (1481 West Broadway) and find a new location in the near future.

Breakfast Table has revealed to Daily Hive that it will indeed be moving away from Broadway in January 2020, but only a few blocks away.

The open-daily breakfast joint will be taking over the former location of Ouisi Bistro in the new year.

Known for its casual atmosphere, great service, and innovative brunch dishes (we’re looking at you, coffee-crusted pork belly Benedict), customers can still enjoy the eats at Breakfast Table’s current location for the foreseeable future.

Renovations on the space are currently underway, and we’ll be updating you with details when we can!

Considering there are several other impending restaurant closures in the area, this is a promising turn of events, and we can’t wait to welcome Breakfast Table to its new area when it opens.
