50 regions across Quebec are currently under weather alerts

February isn’t about to go down without a fight.

Currently, 50 weather alerts are spread out across Quebec in the forms of extreme cold alerts, snowfall and winter storm warnings, a storm surge, a blowing snow advisory, and special weather statements.

Parts of the province are expecting up to 40 cm of snow while other regions could see temperatures dip to ‘feels like’ lows of -31ÂşC.

The majority of the province’s alerts are of the winter storm variety, where “rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations.”

The weather agency urges drivers to prepare for “quickly changing and deteriorating” weather conditions where visibility could be “suddenly reduced to near zero.”
