People around the world join together to applaud healthcare workers fighting coronavirus (VIDEOS)

Healthcare workers are some of the most selfless and compassionate individuals ever to exist, and right now, they are doing what they do best by performing everything within their power to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

Whether it’s working hours on end to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients or producing the most up-to-date information to inform the masses of best practices on how to protect themselves, it’s safe to say that healthcare workers are certified badasses.

And their continuous efforts and hard work have not gone unnoticed.

Around the world, citizens have been expressing their sincere appreciation and gratitude to those directly battling coronavirus on the front line while maintaining physical distancing, of course!

In Vancouver, Canada, every night at 7 pm, people cheer and applaud from their windows to honour the brave individuals working to keep them safe.

As well, in the UK, every night at 8 pm, Brits across the country come together to celebrate their resilient NHS (National Health Service) workers.

Even the Royal Family, the Beckhams, James Bond (aka Daniel Craig), and Prime Minister Boris Johnson — who has since tested positive for coronavirus himself — have joined in the fun.

We often take healthcare workers for granted. But in times of adversity and struggle, such as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it is heartwarming to see communities around the world come together to highlight and publicly acknowledge the tremendous sacrifices that these individuals are making to ensure the safety of everyone else.

However, while they are true heroes, it’s not only healthcare workers that are ensuring our well-being.

Vendors of essential services, including pharmacy, grocery, and custodial workers, as well as local businesses such as restaurants issuing delivery and takeout services, are doing their part and working tirelessly to make sure that we have all we need to live out these lockdowns and quarantines.

So, here’s to all of these workers keeping us safe! We salute you, we celebrate you, and we appreciate you.
