One of Edmonton's most popular cafes announces shocking closure

After over four years of curated drinks, fresh pastries, and community events, Felice Cafe has closed in Edmonton.
Felice, a stunning two-story cafe and community space, first opened in 2022 and quickly gained a following of loyal patrons who loved its cozy vibes, community connection, and delicious menu.
We actually checked it out for ourselves last year, and it’s safe to say we weren’t disappointed.
However, on Oct. 3, the business revealed that, as of Oct. 1, the cafe had officially closed its doors, coming as a shock not only to the community but also being “hard to believe” for the owners as well.

“Outwardly, we looked very successful,” reads the announcement post on Instagram from the owners. “The café was busy, our community was strong, and we were growing year over year. What you didn’t see behind the scenes was the incredible amount of financial strain, emotional stress, and physical burden running a hospitality business takes.”
Patrons and fans of the cafe have flooded the comments following the announcement, sharing their favourite menu items, community events, and all the great times associated with the spot.
Even Edmonton-Highlands-Norwood MLA Janis Irwin commented on the post, writing, “This hurts a lot. Remembering just how excited I was to welcome you to the neighbourhood. So many good memories from being in your beautiful space.”
As for the future, owners Michelle and Tim are looking for a “simpler life.”
“Again, thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts,” they said. “We truly do not regret these years, and will think of them often.”
