It’s been a great year for food in Edmonton.

From burger joints to bakeries, so many restaurants and establishments have opened in the city in 2025. We’ve been watching, and we rounded up some of the biggest restaurant openings in the city.

Bakenary

Bakenary opened Oct. 12, serving its popular jumbo macarons, as well as many more goodies.

The cult-classic Baskin-Robbins has returned to Edmonton with not one, but two locations right in West Edmonton Mall!

From Chef Daniel Costa comes another excellent addition to Edmonton’s Italian restaurant landscape.

Rita Trattoria is inspired by the classic Italian trattoria, having opened in August to start serving old Italian classics with revamps from Chefs Micah Joffe and Costa.

Molly Tea is a jasmine tea beverage franchise originally from Shenzhen. It finally made its way into Edmonton this past August, having held its grand opening near the end of the month.

Curated by the owners of Iconoclast Coffee Roasters, Lovesong is a new bistro that sits in the Wîhkwêntôwin neighbourhood. It just held its grand opening on Aug. 29.

The restaurant focuses on fresh produce, which it grows in the building’s grow room and rooftop. Some dishes featured are the fattoush salad and the sweet yogurt with poached apple.

Edmonton was thrilled to welcome one of Jasper’s most loved sandwich shops to the region this year. Patricia Street Deli is a family business run by owners Glen and Wendy Leitch.

This past September, Mr. Puffs officially opened in Edmonton! The dessert bar’s first Edmonton location is situated on the south side, with its location in South Commons.
