
Even though there were no major jackpot wins, the weekend was still a lucky one for several Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49 players across Canada.
The Lotto Max draw took place on Friday, April 11, and the jackpot was worth $32 million. No one matched the winning numbers 06, 23, 24, 43, 44, 49, 50, and bonus number 34. There were no winners either for the second prize worth $175,533.80. However, 39 people will split the third prize, each receiving $4,500.90.
According to PlayNow, a B.C. lottery player who bought their lottery ticket in Richmond is now $500,000 richer after they matched the Lotto Max Extra winning numbers 3, 19, 21, and 64. No one won the Encore prize worth $1 million.
The last time someone won the Lotto Max jackpot was on Friday, March 28, when someone from Ontario won the $65-million jackpot. According to OLG, the ticket was sold in Newmarket. The next draw is set for Tuesday, April 15, and the jackpot is now at $40 million.

Similarly, no one won the Lotto 6/49 jackpot during the Saturday, April 12, draw. At the time, the Gold Ball prize was worth $46 million. One person did get the exact match for the White Ball winning number 30328941-01, netting themselves a $1-million win. The ticket was sold in Western Canada.
The winning numbers for the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw were 17, 20, 23, 36, 40, 42, and bonus 34, but no one won the $5-million top prize. Three people matched five of the six winning numbers and the bonus number, splitting the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw second prize. The tickets were sold in Pitt Meadows, B.C.; Western Canada; and Ontario. Each of them will take home a prize worth $98,226.40.
The third prize was split between 93 lottery players, who’ll each receive $1,330.50 after they matched five of the six numbers.
There were no winners for the $500,000 Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000 in B.C. or the $1-million Encore prize in Ontario.
It’s been a while since someone last won the Lotto 6/49 jackpot.
Edmonton, Alta., resident Thanh Lu won a life-changing $30 million during the February 5 draw.
The next Lotto 6/49 draw is set for Wednesday, April 16, and the Gold Ball prize is worth $48 million.
