Over the last few weeks, Calgary has seen plenty of restaurants, bars, and cafes open their doors in the city.

Tipsie

Tipsie is a brand-new wine bar brought to life by the folks behind Inglewood’s The Eden, in the space that was formerly home to Kensington Wine Bar.
As with any wine bar worth its salt, Tipsie offers an extensive wine list with options from around the world and a rotating selection of wines available by the glass. For non-wine drinkers, there is also beer, cocktails and plenty of zero-alcohol options.

Sora Bake & Tea Room

Focusing on those “slow moments,” Sora offers Japanese organic matcha, hojicha, and genmaicha, as well as coffee.
The spot also serves salt bread, or Shio Pan, a pillowy soft milk bread with a golden brown exterior and a pinch of salt on top, with a variety of fillings.

Shake Shack – Macleod Trail

Just weeks after opening its first Calgary location, Shake Shack opened its new drive-thru location, in a first for Canada.
Guests can get all their Shack favourites without even needing to leave the car, but if you do want to dine in, there’s a nice, big seating area too.

Native Tongues – Bridgeland

Native Tongues Taqueria, the popular eatery known for its tacos, quesadillas and more, has just opened its latest outpost in Bridgeland.
As a favourite in YYC’s restaurant scene for over a decade, Native Tongues is inspired by the food and culture found in Mexico City. Alongside its hefty menu, the spot also offers one of the city’s most extensive selections of tequila and mezcal.
