A popular Calgary bakery has closed its doors at its original location.

Two years after opening on Macleod Trail, Hey Sugar has revealed that it has permanently closed the outpost.

PZA Parlour, a popular Italian spot in the same building at 9737 Macleod Trl. SW, also closed earlier this month. Responding to an Instagram comment on the closures, Hey Sugar said the new building tenant may be demolishing the inside to create one larger space.

Luckily for Calgarians, the bakery opened a second location at Bankers Hall last year, and it will still be business as usual.

“We will still be fully operational while we search for a new space,” the team shared, adding that those with existing orders will be contacted to rearrange pick up at Bankers Hall, or for delivery free of charge.

However, Hey Sugar has assured fans that it is on the hunt for a brand-new space, so we’ll be waiting patiently.
