Popular Calgary bakery is opening a new location next month
Downtown Calgary is about to get that much sweeter as one of Calgary’s most popular bakeries is gearing up to open a new location next month.
Just weeks after Mari Bakeshop opened its new location, those living and working downtown will soon be able to get their hands on even more sweet treats.
Signage for a brand-new Hey Sugar location has been spotted in YYC’s Bankers Hall, just off the bustling Stephen Avenue, with the new outpost slated to open in July.

After opening its first outpost on Macleod Trail in 2023, Hey Sugar has become a staple in the city for baked goods, including cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and donuts.
The drool-worthy selection includes treats such as blueberry cheesecake donuts and triple chocolate gold cookies.
But if you’re looking for beautiful cakes to celebrate special occasions, Hey Sugar has so many gorgeously decorated cakes that can be customized by flavour, size, and frosting colour for a completely unique look.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for this exciting new addition to the downtown area.
