An iconic Calgary landmark is getting a brand-new restaurant and cafe concept
There’s nothing we love more than a new restaurant opening in YYC, and we’ve just received word that a new restaurant and cafe concept is set to arrive in the city later this year at a pretty impressive location.
Foxtrot and the accompanying Cafe Foxtrot will open at Calgary’s Spruce Meadows in the city’s southwest, with a slated opening month of September.
While little is known so far about the day-to-night concept, it takes its name from a curious incident in which a fox appeared at the Spruce Meadows International Ring one morning.
The fox’s “quiet confidence and undeniable grace” inspired the direction of the restaurant.

“We’re all about elegance meets ease in a dining experience as memorable as the venue itself,” Foxtrot says on its website.
“And just steps away, Café Foxtrot offers a moment of calm – casual, refined, and perfect for a pause before you start your day,” it added.
