Summer is in the air, and with warmer weather and blue skies on the horizon, Calgary’s foodie scene is also heating up with a ton of new restaurants and bars on the way.
From impressive rooftop dining experiences to international chains and everything in between, here are some of the most exciting new spots set to open this summer.
Bow & Bend

Bow & Bend, YYC’s newest rooftop dining destination, is set to open on June 26 with stunning views of the sparkling Bow River.
The open-concept restaurant will feature huge windows, a sleek design, and a rooftop patio to enjoy the sunshine. Between the dining room, patio, and two private rooms, the space will seat around 210 people.

Dave’s Hot Chicken

Hugely popular LA-founded Dave’s Hot Chicken is finally set to make its way to Alberta in 2025. The spot is known for its signature hot chicken tenders and sliders, which can be customized to your preferred spice level from zero to “Reaper.”
The international chicken chain, which currently operates several outposts in Ontario, has signed leases for three outposts in Calgary.

L’Olivo Cicchetti & Lounge

L’Olivo Cicchetti & Lounge, a brand-new restaurant concept, will open its doors in Inglewood, located just inside Lina’s Italian Piazza.
The spot, which is slated to open on June 24, focuses on cicchetti, a Venetian version of Italian small plates or antipasti.

Unfiltered Wine Bar
Offering quality wines and relaxed vibes, the locally-owned Unfiltered Wine Bar is opening up in the Beltline neighbourhood.
“We’re all about exploring wines in a laid-back atmosphere,” Unfiltered said in an Instagram post.

Paradigm Spark

Paradigm Spark, a Calgary-based specialty coffee roaster, will open a standalone location in downtown Calgary at 11th Avenue and 4th Street SE.
Its new home will include a cafe where guests will be able to sample its roasted coffees, as pour-over or espresso, to showcase the unique flavours.
As part of its passion for knowledge and its desire to share that knowledge with coffee drinkers, the space will also feature a training room, a roasting room, and a shared office for collaboration with fellow coffee professionals.
