Popular Calgary bakery known for its choux opens a brand-new location
One of Calgary’s most popular bakeries has finally opened a new location.
Mari Bakeshop, a popular bakery that draws inspiration from both Korea and France, has just opened a brand-new downtown location.
The minimalist bakery now has a second location at Brookfield Place, where those living and working downtown will be able to purchase its wide selection of sandwiches, choux and pastries, and beverages.

The name Mari comes from the Korean word for roll, and roll cakes are what the brand is most famous for. The spot offers several different flavours of the treat, including raspberry, matcha, coconut-pineapple, and cookies and cream.
Mari has been a fixture in Calgary’s baking scene for some time, first opening in the East Village in 2017. In 2022, it moved to a large location in the city’s Bridgeland neighbourhood.
It’s an exciting new development for downtown and a must-visit for those in the area.
