One of Calgary’s destinations for authentic Chinese street food has shuttered. Flame Mountain BBQ has closed its doors.

The 919 Centre Street NW Unit C spot has been marked as permanently closed online and its team posted that it was “closed indefinitely” on its social channels.

The restaurant first opened in July 2019. It served up eats like beef, lamb, chicken gizzard, prawns, tofu, corn, mushrooms, and hurricane potato chip skewers, along with oysters, clams, and eggplant topped with fresh garlic sauce.

Everything at Flame Mountain was cooked over a charcoal flame and served alongside drinks like bubble tea, milk tea, fruit tea, milkshakes, and beer.

Flame Mountain also thanked its patrons for their support over the years.
