This yearly spectacle will surely not disappoint as it takes over downtown Calgary and leads us into the 107th Calgary Stampede. You won’t want to miss this year’s parade marshal, Amber Marshall. Join her as she leads this iconic parade and kicks off this year’s festivities!

Ceilis on 17th, PAWS Dog Daycare, and Cultured Canines present a breakfast for humans provided by Ceilis and a breakfast buffet for dogs catered by Drool Pawtissiere. Celebrate the Stampede with people and puppies alike, while fundraising for the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society’s cause.

34th Annual Vegan Pancake Breakfast

Vegans in Calgary, you’re in luck. Come and hang out with your fellow vegans and devour some fresh organic fruits, vegan-friendly pancakes, and vegan sausages.

Ladies, we know you’ll enjoy this one! This annual event features 10 Pro Rodeo Contestants that go up against 10 Calgary Firefighters in a timed flag pole climb. All the proceeds from the event will go directly towards The CPRA Cowboy Benefit fund and the Firefighter Charitable Society.

DJ Snoopadelic at Cowboys Music Festival 2019

The man, the myth, the legendary Snoop Dogg will be in Calgary this summer for the 2019 Calgary Stampede. More specifically, the rapper will be performing during the Cowboys Music Festival, presenting a DJ set as DJ Snoopadelic at Cowboys Dance Hall.

Calgary Stampede 2019 McDonald’s Community Day $2 admission

The Toonie admission price is to celebrate McDonald’s Community Day, which will feature a Grey Cup rally at the Grandstand Courtyard at noon. The one catch is that the cheap admission is only being offered before 2 pm (easy to remember though: $2, 2 pm), so you can definitely expect some long lines that morning.

HANSON at the Calgary Stampede 2019

HANSON has announced they will be performing at the Big Four Roadhouse at the Calgary Stampede. Known for their hit “Mmmbop,” HANSON has been performing as a group for a whopping 26 years. The band formed when Isaac, Taylor, and Zack Hanson were only 11, nine, and six respectively.

Roundup Music Fest 2019

The Grandstand Show

This show is always a highlight and a must-see every year for Stampede-goers. This year they will be showcasing elements that have contributed to its success over the years, including performances from The Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede, world-class acrobats, extreme athletes, musical performances, and more. A release from the Calgary Stampede states that the theme of the 2019 Grandstand show will be “Trailblazer,” taking inspiration from the travelling shows of the early 20th century yet being performed on the most technologically advanced outdoor stage in the world.

The Rodeo

Stampede just wouldn’t be Stampede if it weren’t for the rodeo events! Calgary has a long and proud history of cowboy culture, and you can’t get any more cowboy than taking part in a rodeo – or, at the least, watching from a safe distance. This heart-pounding, world-class show never ceases to entertain as cowboys and cowgirls compete for $2 million in prize money. A few events you can expect to see is Barrel Racing, Tie-Down Roping, Steer Wrestling, Bull Riding, and more.
