Hats Off Day

Burnaby Heights
What: The long-running free festival — which is called Hats Off Day because it’s a day for local businesses to “take their hats off” to their community — features live performances, kid-friendly activities, a show and shine, and, of course, plenty of delicious food.
Organized by the Burnaby Heights Merchants Association, as well as the Hats Off committee and the Burnaby Heights community, the 12-block event is expected to draw up to 50,000 visitors to the area.

Public Disco Granville Island Block Party
What: Dance your way into that summer feeling with Public Disco. The free all-ages dance party features live music, DJs, and dance performances on Granville Island. There will also be a food market and a kids’ zone at the Block Party.

Black Fly Tasting
What: London, ON’s Black Fly Beverage Company is celebrating their 20-year anniversary by hosting a special tasting at BCLIQUOR. There are over 25 flavours available across the country, with full-flavoured, bar-quality cocktails made with vodka, tequila, gin and rum for the perfect blend of taste and quality.

Italian Day 2025
What: Let your tastebuds start tingling! Vancouver’s annual celebration of Italian culture, heritage, and community returns this spring.
Thousands of Vancouverites will take over Commercial Drive as it transforms into a 14-block car-free zone. There will be plenty of merchants, food vendors, and entertainment to discover throughout the day-long event.

Cirque du Soleil’s Crystal
What: Crystal, Cirque Du Soleil’s first-ever acrobatic performance on ice, is coming to the Pacific Coliseum for six shows from June 4 to 8, 2025.
The first Cirque production to use real snow will showcase banquine, aerial straps, hand-to-trapeze, juggling, hand balancing and more during each performance.

Vancouver Art Gallery – Free First Friday Nights

What: The Vancouver Art Gallery was founded in 1931 and is renowned as one of North America’s leading visual arts institutions. There are a variety of exhibitions on display at the largest public art museum in western Canada, plus the Gallery Store to shop at and the 1931 Gallery Bistro serving up delicious food and drinks.
When: The first Friday of every month

Sunday Brunch Buffet at Pan Pacific Vancouver
What: Pan Pacific Vancouver is serving up a mouthwatering brunch buffet every Sunday with waterfront views to accompany the eats. Enjoy classic brunch delicacies, chef-carved roasts, seasonal salads, fresh seafood and sweet treats that are sure to please all appetites.

Car Free Day Surrey 2025
What: The fourth-annual Car Free Day Surrey, hosted by the Newton Business Improvement Association, is happening on Saturday, June 7, along 137th Street. The day-long event will feature live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and more.
Of course, a street party wouldn’t be complete without delicious food, and guests can look forward to treats like burgers, mini donuts, kettle corn, and spiral potatoes from a variety of local vendors.

Let’s Hear It For Yaletown

Yaletown BIA
What: Let’s Hear It For Yaletown, a vibrant jazz festival curated by Vancity Hot Jazz Society and hosted by Yaletown Business Improvement Association (BIA), will be taking over Bill Curtis Square every Wednesday to Friday as well as Canada Day.
This is your chance to hear Canadian hot jazz bands perform live right in the heart of Yaletown. Dancing along to the music is highly encouraged.
