The BC Lions have outdone themselves again, as Snoop Dogg will perform at their home opener next month.
The legendary rapper will perform at BC Place on Saturday, June 7 ahead of the Lions’ game against the Edmonton Elks. It adds to an impressive list of performers that Lions owner Amar Doman has been able to secure in recent years. OneRepublic (2022), LL Cool J (2023), and 50 Cent (2024) have also performed the now-annual concert kickoff.
“I’m very excited to bring Snoop Dogg, one of the most entertaining and decorated rap performers of all time, to Vancouver to help us begin our 71st season of Lions football,” said Doman.
“Concert Kickoff has become the premier event on our city’s summer sports calendar. We’re proud to continue the great tradition with one of the all-time greats.”
The move was a popular one among Lions players, who reacted enthusiastically to the news at training camp in Kamloops.

Tickets to the game, which include access to the concert, are available for $39.25 via Ticketmaster. Tickets were already selling fast in anticipation of the announcement, with the lower bowl already nearly sold out. Given that 53,788 fans turned out for 50 Cent last year, expect this game to sell out.
The concert begins at 5:45 p.m., ahead of the game kicking off at 7 p.m.
