The highly anticipated shows will be put on by Fever, with the live, multi-sensory musical experience on Jan. 23 and Feb. 27.

Little Weird Weekend at Little Mountain Gallery

What: A mini comedy festival packed with big laughs is coming to Vancouver’s Little Mountain Gallery.

Little Weird Weekend is an annual celebration of alternative, experimental and indie comedy. Highlights include Who Wants to Be Decolonized?, a satirical Indigenous-themed stand-up comedy game show; The Weird Audition Show, where actors audition with monologues that they could never use in a normal setting; and Are You Smarter Than A Comedian?, an interactive trivia-style game show.

What: DanceHouse presents Recirquel’s Paradisum, which fuses circus, dance, and physical theatre by using the common language of movement to explore themes of renewal and connection in the face of an uncertain future.

Accompanied by a striking soundscape, six performers take the Vancouver Playhouse stage, embodying the overwhelming effort of existence in a post-apocalyptic world. Elements of stagecraft – a rippling black drape, a ladder, rings, a hoop – transform the stage into a living being, creating otherworldly vistas as the artists engage in breathtaking aerial work and choreography.

Sunset Meditation – Mindfulness Under the Stars

January and February explores the Blustery Fraser Canyon and how its unique geography of the Fraser Canyon shapes the Lower Mainland’s weather patterns.

Street Food City

What: Vancouver has an epic food truck scene, and a returning outdoor festival is here to prove it this month during Dine Out Vancouver.

Street Food City is back for its 14th year from Jan. 22 to 25, with over a dozen delicious food trucks to discover at šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énk Square outside of the Vancouver Art Gallery.
