Apr 19 2021, 5:26 pm

Editorial Note April 30, 2021: Pokey Okey has informed Daily Hive that they will be postponing their grand opening. The free bowl promotion mentioned in this story will not be available on May 1 and 2.

When one poke shop closes, another one opens: Pokey Okey is taking over the former location of Hooked Poke Bar in downtown Vancouver.

Pokey Okey’s new 995 Hornby Street location is the brand’s first in Vancouver. It currently operates outposts in Burnaby on Kingsway and in Richmond on Anderson Road.

The poke restaurant will be offering a killer deal during its opening weekend at the Vancouver eatery.

Folks who head to Pokey Okey Hornby on Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2 from 11 am to 3 pm will be able to get in on FREE poke bowls.

Guest are asked to respect social distancing protocols at the opening and wear their masks. Patrons can expect staff working as ushers, clear social-distancing markers and signs, complimentary masks, and sanitation stations as well.

Well, there you have it, mark your calendar and grab your free poke come May.
