If you’ve been feeling blue during these long cold winter months, the good news is that spring is right around the corner! And it is bringing plenty of new opportunities for those seeking a change in their career.

This March, hundreds of different kinds of jobs are available in Metro Vancouver. So whether you have a background in serving or animation or are straight out of high school, you’re bound to find something for your specific skill set.

Here are 11 companies around Vancouver with some awesome gigs up for grabs right now:

Clio

A B.C.-based company has just received some major accolades, and if you’re looking for a new gig, they’re also hiring.

Burnaby-based legal tech company Clio recently won the 2025 CIX Summit Innovator of the Year Award. The distinction recognizes Clio’s impact on the global technology sector.

For those hoping to make a career switch and join the award-winning company’s team, Clio is currently hiring for several positions across Canada. Some current openings include a Corporate Development Manager, Customer Events Manager, Data Migration Specialist, Group Product Manager, Machine Learning Engineer, Senior Data Scientist, and many more.

Netflix

A new Netflix studio is on its way to Vancouver, and it sounds like the streaming platform is preparing to fill it with employees.

Netflix is currently offering folks the opportunity to apply as an expression of interest in future roles.

Essentially, if you’re interested in a job with Netflix in Vancouver and don’t see any openings, you can apply to be considered for future roles when they do appear. There’s a good chance that when the new studio launches, there’ll be a push for new employees, and getting your name in the database might be a good idea.

Vancouver International Airport

If you’ve always wanted to work in the aviation industry, now’s your chance. Vancouver International Airport has job openings right now, and some roles don’t require much experience.

There are over 20 vacant jobs currently posted online.

McDonald’s

There are dozens of job openings at McDonald’s locations across Vancouver, including part-time and full-time positions. The popular fast-food restaurant is searching for crew members, shift managers, line cooks, and more.

McDonald’s offers staff access to education, skills-development opportunities and flexible hours. Here, you can be rewarded with discounts, incentives, and recognition perks.

If you’ve always dreamed of working for Disney, you’re in luck because the place where “dreams come true” is hiring for well-paying jobs right here in Vancouver.

Positions are being offered by both Industrial Light & Magic and Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Depending on experience, many positions offer over $130,000 a year.

B.C. Firefighting Agencies

Fire departments and inspection agencies around BC are hiring for firefighting jobs, which pay well above a living wage.

Many municipal fire departments have open calls for applicants, and most follow a fairly structured pay system.

For example, Vancouver Fire Rescue Services’ standard pay for all firefighters is $72,706 for the first six months. It progresses to $103,871 at the start of the fourth year of service and increases to $110,095 (beginning of the 15th year).

These are some of the highest-paying fire-related roles around Metro Vancouver. Many of the roles don’t require much more than the completion of grade 12.

To help it get ready for the new season, Vancouver’s amusement park is looking for new recruits.

Playland officially opens in May and has begun hiring “enthusiastic and motivated individuals” for over 200 jobs.

PNE is hiring for a variety of teams, including Rides, Games, Guest Experience, Playland Maintenance, and Food & Beverage. It adds that preference will be given to applicants who submit their resumes before Sunday, March 9.
